A Song .. One Of Many

We saw another migrating bird this week. This is a Brown Thrasher. I have taken photos of Brown Thrashers in the past, but usually only in the spring. I guess this one was right on schedule.

They say this bird can sign about 3000 distinct songs. I have heard a couple.

The Swallows Have Arrived

The spring migration continues. We saw several tree swallows this week. Both of these seemed to want a photo taken. They are fun to watch as they dart arouind and catch bugs.

We saw this Blue Heron but she took off before we could get a good photo. I managed to get a few shots as she flew away.

The Song Was Even Better

I wish I could have recorded and played back the beautiful song this cardinal was singing. It was just so beautiful. He flew to the top of this tree, sang for a few minutes, then departed as fast as he arrived. It was beautiful.
