The Daytime Moon

I took this photo about an hour before sunset on February 13, 2019. The moon was so beautiful. Most of my moon photos I capture are of a full moon, but this shot made me happy. Great color, and rich details.

By the way, if you look up in the night sky you may get a view of the ‘supermoon’. We have one more supermoon this year, and that is on March 20. This one will be the last of three in 2019.

You can read more about this years supermoon trifecta here.

A Warm Beach

I have been to many intesting places in the world, but I loved this view of the Mediterranean. This was one of many warm days on the beach in Tel Aviv, Israel.

I stayed in a hotel right on this beach many nights over a four year period, and on most of those days, this was the view. I was there for some very stormy nights. but that was the exception.

I have never tried to rate locations. Every corner of this amazing earth has some unique quality that makes it special. Israel is no exception. I loved it there. The people were bright, friendly and amazing. The culture is special. It is one of those places I love to visit, and hope I can go back again sometime before my time is up on this amazing earth.

Teresa and I went on a hike yesterday and I was able to fly the drone. I did that in some snow, but it was a lot of fun. The video can be viewed below or on YouTube.

I hope you enjoy the video!

A ray of ...

Complete these sentence: A ray of ....

Teresa caught this ray of sunshine this past summer. It was a beautiful summer day, and the sun was peaking through the trees leaving us with this memory.

Extra water

Teresa took this photo earlier this week. This pond was frozen, but it was starting to melt. I was shocked at the water levels. I don’t recall seeing it this high in the past.

For reference, the second photo below was taken earlier this past fall. The difference: other than temperature and the color of the grass ... at least 18 inches.

Ice mirror

I was hoping to could capture the amazing reflection on the surface of the ice. I can see it in this photo, but it does not do it justice. The ice was still covering the pond, but it was melting, and the surface was like a mirror. It was really cool.
