The beauty of the butterfly

Teresa and I have been taking more butterfly photos recently. These photos are in addition to the photos we took on the butterfly hike. She really takes great photos of these amazing creatures. She took three of the above photos. Great work.

Many species of birds are already migrating, and the heat has been really tough. That has been interesting to watch, but the butterfly’s are extremely active. They really are beautiful.

Yesterday we visited a good friend that lives near Mechanicsburg, Ohio. You have to watch this video to hear the story behind this photo .. it’s great.

? Or , ...

We took part in our second ‘butterfly walk’ of the summer yesterday. It was hot, but we saw a lot of beauty. This is either a question mark or a comma butterfly .. either way, it’s a beautful creature.

Here is a little help if you want to study up.

As I posted yesterday, we setup a YouTube channel. The tales.photos YouTube channel will include video footage from our various outings. It could be from local photo hikes, or more extensive travel footage.

For a long time, I have wanted to share more than just still images. This will allow Teresa and me to do that. There will be a weekly video. You can subscribe and be notified when new videos are available. I hope you enjoy this as much I we will enjoy sharing.

Butterfly walk

Teresa and I went on a Butterfly walk earlier this week. These are some of the better photos. I really wish I could name each of them, but other than the monarch, I can’t even start. We saw more than this, but taking photos of these beautiful creatures is very difficult. Be sure to scroll down and see all of them.

Finally .. A Monarch butterfly

I am now starting to see Monarch Butterflies. I have only see a couple so far this year. I have blogged about their story before .. they as just amazing creatures and so beautiful.

Milkweed butterfly

I caught this shot of a milkweed butterfly while out on a photo walk with Teresa. I love the colors and detail. I have seen this pattern before, but with more blue. I had to share it. Here is one more photo:
