Bee at work .. šŸ

Bee @ work Ā .. Charleston Falls Preserve

Teresa and I took a long walk yesterday through Charleston Falls Perserve. We were sad that the falls were basically dry, but we decided to walk anyway. Near Cedar Pond (as they call it), we came across a large number of bees that were busy at work. Yes, it was just weeds ... but the bees didn’t care. They were harvesting. We had a great walk, and enjoyed what Mother Nature shared with us.

Flying Machine

SR-71 Blackbird

SR-71 Blackbird

I spent a couple of hours at the National Museum of the US Airforce in Dayton, Ohio. I took a few picture, but this is my favorite. I have always been a big fan of the SR-71 Blackbird. It’s an amazing machine. It was not just cool to look at, it was fast. One of my favorite stories as told by Brian Shoul, one of the few men to pilot the SR-71, is about it’s blazing speed: LA Speed Check. Enjoy.

The American Robin

One of the most common birds in my part of the world is the Robin. I love the work ethic of the Robin. They seem to be always out collecting food or nest materials. They don’t usually let anyone get too close. This guy just kept coming toward me. I was using about 600mm, so it was a long shot and I was not a threat.

I took this on the bike path in TIpp City, Ohio. Ā

Hidden Ducks

Three Ducks

Three Ducks

These three young ducks were so well disguised that I nearly missed them. To be honest, it did not look like a fun place for a swim. It was hot, and very humid. We didn’t get out as early, so we missed most of the bird activity.

SquirrelšŸ™ˆ

I took a walk near the Tipp City Park recently. I didn’t see much wildlife, but his squirrel caught my attention. Squirrels are so curious and inquisitive. That said, they don’t normally stick around long. This dude just took it all in while I shot serveral photos. Special thanks to Mother Nature for sharing this beautiful view.
