At peace with nature

I could sit in this spot for hours. The birds were singing loudly. The squirrels were playing games in the tree tops. Every so often the geese, and sometimes a duck or two would fly by. This lowers my blood pressure by a good 10 points.

Sometimes you need a place like this where you can be at peace, and be inspired. I hope you can find your magic place where you can be inspired.

Trees .. and Trees

I think I could create an album of nothing but trees. I love this one .. 

I took this photo at the Stillwater Prairie Reserve. This is one of my favorite spots to photograph. I highly recommend a visit!

Spring goose

I really love these photos. Several mornings last week I took a photo walks shortly after sunrise. It was cold every time. On this day, I saw two geese, slowly floating, or swimming if you will. I took a couple photos of them, then suddenly they took off. I focused my camera on the lead goose and captured several photos as they ‘honked’ and flew away. These are the two best shots. Enjoy.

Sometimes the simple makes for the best photos. Spring is in the air, literally. It’s allergy time for many, but nature provides some amazing photography momonets.

Ducks on cold water ...

Even the ducks looked cold on this spring morning. It was cold. The second photo was taken earlier, on the same chilly morning. They were all hunkered down, trying to get warm. 

The lighting was very different in these two photos. I shot the 1st one before the sunrise was complete, and the second shot after the lighting was better. They are very different photos.
