A Late Summer Pond

This view never gets old. This pond is about 50% covered in algae. The lush green of the trees and shrubs make it difficult to get a clear shot, but that is what makes the photo beautiful. I plan to go back sometime this week and take a drone shot from about 400 feet up. That should be fun.

Peaceful

I don’t post many landscape photos, but this scene was beautiful. It was a mostly clear day, and the lighting was perfect. The surface of the water was like glass. The sky line was not great, but I still love the shot.

We had just finished taking photos at the falls near Richmond. On the way to the car we hiked by this pond. The scene caught my eye immediately .. and so here it is.

Rocks and Mountains

Teresa took this photo. The skyline was so amazing at Arches. The nearby sandstone was great, and then we had the snowcapped mountains on the horizon. What a view!

We created this video of our 2nd and 3rd day of hiking, and then spend some time just relaxing .. and driving.

A Long Drive With a View

This was our view about a year ago. We drove from Salt Lake City to Yosemite. I am not sure what I was thinking, but I thought it was a shorter drive. If you look close, you will see the road winding down into the valley.

We are planning our travel for 2019. We have three or four major trips planned, and maybe some shorter drives. They are mostly about the photos, and beautiful visits with nature.
