When I was photographing these turtles, I also saw this Great Blue Heron. I think she had just eaten and was working to swallow something. She kept working on it for a long time. I took a few shots.

Pole Hopping?

We were going back home from hiking yesterday when we saw this Red-Headed Woodpecker on a utility pole. We missed the photo opportunity but it was only a short distance when we saw him on another pole. After taking the photo, we saw him on yet another pole. Teresa managed to capture the photo! How cute.

Count The Tanning Turtles

We saw this site on the banks of the Miami River. I don’t think I have ever seen so many turtles in one spot. I guess they need Vitamin D too.

Rocks and Mountains

Teresa took this photo. The skyline was so amazing at Arches. The nearby sandstone was great, and then we had the snowcapped mountains on the horizon. What a view!

We created this video of our 2nd and 3rd day of hiking, and then spend some time just relaxing .. and driving.
