Ravens having fun .. Tag, your it. 

Of the assorted wildlife we saw at Yosemite, the clown award goes to the Ravens. They were so funny to watch. First, they were very bold. They would fly very close, and often land a few feet from people. Then they would take a couple of jumps, grab something off the ground, and take off. 

They seem to fly so effortlessly. I have seen Raven before, but I guess I never watched them fly. They really know how to make it look fun, and they can soar. A fun bird.

Giant trees or little people?

On Monday morning we took a nice walk on one of the many trails in Yosemite. This lady passed us, said hello, and walked on. I guess we were slow. Our interest was in nature, so our pace allowed more photography 🤫🙂.

I caught this shot because it helped to frame the size of the trees. It’s not just a magical place ... it’s big.

Goodbye Yosemite, for now ..

Yosemite is an amazing place, and I recommend it to anyone that can make the trip. I enjoyed the relaxing setting, and the many scenic views. There was always a blue sky, the the weather was perfect. We saw less wildlife than expected, but the landscape more than compensated for that. 

I’ll write up a separate blog post about things to see and do .. for now, it is time to head back to Salt Lake City, and then on to Ohio. Take care my friends.

A river with a view

This is just up the road from the Big Woods Lodge. That is our home away from home for one more night, then we start heading back. The views are amazing. If I could stay for a month, I think I could capture maybe .0001% of it. Stunning is the only word I can use.

Photo wonderland

Every time I turn around, there is a picture .. just waiting to be captured. That said, sometimes you just have to leave the camera behind and take it in. 

(I’m posting this early .. the night before I normally post. Internet access has been so frustrating. Enjoy).
