Ice and rock

FullSizeRender.jpg

This photo is from Old Man’s Cave in Hocking Hills State Park. This park is one of Ohio’s most beautiful places to visit. That’s not snow ... it’s ice. The water was mostly frozen, and walking the trail was treacherous. We didn’t fall, but we were walking very slow.

Nature at Hocking Hills

FullSizeRender.jpg

Teresa and I spent Valentine’s Day at Hocking Hills. I took this shot shortly after we arrived at our cabin on Tuesday. The weather didn’t corporate and we had some rain. The temperature was in the 40’s early, but by evening it was 55. We managed to get in some hiking, and captured a few photos. The shot below is of one of the cabins where we stayed.

Have a great day.

I took this photo in southern Utah. I love this view. No, its not a volcano. 😬

Teresa and I are spending Valentine’s Day at Hocking Hills, and my connnection to the internet is really bad. I tried to share a photo from our location, but the connection is just too bad to upload a large photo. I think I will survive. New photos from here on Friday. Have a great day!

A storm brewing

D37842CA-8D4C-45F1-ADBB-565E643BD3D2.jpeg

It was the last day on the island and it was clear there was a storm brewing. I was standing on the beach, looking toward Honolulu. The view was ominous, with a touch of beauty that I will never forget. A towering skyline, with the glow of setting sun to the west, provided the lighting and colors for the view. The heavy, dark and menace clouds overhead gave way to a cool breeze across the ocean. Through all of this, the beach was still full of people. The sights, sounds, and smells .. it was intense. I am grateful for the opportunity to capture this photo.

By the way, we never did get a storm .. just a passing shower. Nature ...
