I am now starting to see Monarch Butterflies. I have only see a couple so far this year. I have blogged about their story before .. they as just amazing creatures and so beautiful.

I caught this shot of a milkweed butterfly while out on a photo walk with Teresa. I love the colors and detail. I have seen this pattern before, but with more blue. I had to share it. Here is one more photo:

This monarch butterfly flys by me, continuing for about 30 feet, then lands facing away from me. I zoom in, and start snapping pictures. She proceeds to do this dance, slowly shifting until she is looking directly at me. Those beady eyes are not a photoshop .. that is exactly how it looked when I took the picture .. at 30 feet or so. I am truly in awe of nature, every day!
