A Bluebird Reunion

I included a couple photos of these Eastern Bluebirds in the video we published earlier this week, but I can’t stop looking at them. They were flying near the hiking trail we hiked. They were very close to the banks of the Stillwater River. I counted at least 8 of them, but I think the number was much higher. I just couldn’t keep track. I guess it was a bluebird reunion. I didn’t see any females. Such a beautiful bird.

It has been months since I photographed a Northern Flicker. I think I have seen this one a couple of times, but never where I could clearly identify him, or capture a photograph. This is a male Northern Flicker, and he is beautiful.

I posted three shots because they all lack something that is in a different photo. I love the colors of this bird. I hope you enjoy it too.

By the way, it was snowing .. that is not your eyes.

The little Titmouse

This is a Tufted Titmouse. They are a small songbird and they are found around here, but this is the 1st time I remember photographing one. At fist, I thought I had taken a photo of another nuthatch, but after a closer look, I realized it was something different. The photos are not perfect, but she is still very cute.

Golden Grass

FullSizeRender.jpg

I took this photo about 2 to 3 months ago. I really like the colors in this photo. It shows the details in the grass, and golden color of late fall. Very cool.

Teresa and I were out in the cold yesterday. This is the second time we have heard or seen red winged blackbirds. I saw them, but could not get any photos. I did try. We will try again in a couple of days.

Stay warm.
