Cold & White

It happend. I think we got about 5.6 inches of the white stuff, and a lot of wind. It has been very cold. The low today in Piqua was -10°F. This is a trail we often hike when it snows, but not today. It looks like a white Christmas but also a very cold one too.

Bring On The Ice

These are photos I took in the last day or so. It was very cold and ice has started to form on both the Miami River and this fishing pond at Big Woods Reserve. The wind was not nice to hikers today!

Oh Deer

The ponds and creeks are frozen over. If you look closely in that first photo you can see tracks on the frozen pond. The second and third photo reveal deer tracks. We have not seen any deer for a while but clearly they are here.

Snow blanket

This photo was taken shortly after the last big snow. It was still looking like there was going to be more snow, and it was so cold. Hopeful we don’t get much more of this stuff:). (I apologize to those that love the snow).
